“Excellent clarity, technique, balance, attention to dynamics and phrasing, and navigation of the soprano’s tricky altissimo register.”

Kenneth Tse is the epitomy of the virtuoso...Tse’s sax sings oh-so-sweetly. This is a lovely disc. I can personally attest that one does not need to be a saxophonist to reap this disc’s many rewards. Recommended!

The accessible and pleasing featured repertoire in [this album] showcases the soprano saxophone’s versatile capacity for brilliant passagework, stratospheric flights, and lyrical beauty. Tse proves expert in all facets, playing with gorgeous tone and irresistible technical panache. This is a deliciously eclectic recital, marvelously executed and beautifully recorded. Recommended!

Dolce, this disc’s title, provides only some indication of the variety and pleasure that is contained within. Kenneth Tse, the luminous soprano saxophonist, and pianist Casey Dierlam Tse perform a recital that ranges from Bach to contemporary pieces and do so with flair and perfect rapport...
